Who We Are
Bevan is an award-winning, employee-owned, profit-for-purpose social enterprise delivering inclusive health and wellbeing services to some of the most marginalised individuals and communities across Yorkshire. Named after NHS founder Nye Bevan, we are committed to the principle that no one should be denied healthcare due to their means or circumstances.
Our services span Bradford, Leeds, Wakefield, Calderdale, and North Yorkshire, offering trauma-informed care to people experiencing homelessness, refugees, asylum seekers, sex workers, and other excluded groups. Rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), we are recognised as national leaders in inclusion health, providing innovative, person-led services that address both clinical and social needs.
Our team comprises award-winning health and wellbeing professionals, including GPs, nurses, paramedics, occupational therapists, and support workers, all dedicated to delivering compassionate, person-centred care. They are supported by a skilled business administration team that ensures the smooth operation of our services.
Together, we work collaboratively to address the complex needs of our patients, many of whom have experienced trauma, addiction, or mental health issues. Our holistic approach is informed by the social determinants of health model, allowing us to provide responsive and effective care that benefits both individuals and the wider system.
We operate as a Community Benefit Society (CBS), reinvesting all profits into services that deliver our vision: Health, Hope, and Humanity for All.
