Explore Leeds Services

Bevan’s GP practice in Leeds provides dedicated, inclusive primary healthcare to a patient list of around 2,500 individuals from marginalised communities. Like our Bradford model, this practice focuses exclusively on inclusion health populations, delivering care to those experiencing homelessness, seeking asylum, or facing other barriers to healthcare.
We work to national standards including the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QoF), while maintaining a responsive, person-centred approach. Our Leeds practice is closely integrated with outreach, wellbeing, and migrant health teams, ensuring joined-up support that meets complex needs.

Occupational Therapy (SHAPS)

Our OT team in Leeds delivers a specialist service within hostels and temporary accommodation, supporting individuals to regain daily living skills, improve mental and physical wellbeing, and build confidence for more independent living.

Art Therapy

We offer creative therapeutic sessions for those who may struggle to engage with traditional mental health services. Art therapy provides a safe space for self-expression, healing, and connection with others in similar circumstances.

Street Health Team

Bevan’s Street Health Team in Leeds delivers responsive, community-based healthcare to people experiencing homelessness and others who are excluded from mainstream services. Operating outside of traditional clinical settings, the team provides care directly in hostels, temporary accommodation, and on the streets.

Our mobile, multidisciplinary team—made up of nurses, paramedics, and support workers—offers a range of clinical and wellbeing support including wound care, screenings, mental health interventions, and help with medication. By working closely with local drop-ins and partner agencies, the team ensures that individuals receive timely and compassionate care wherever they are. This flexible, street-based approach builds trust and makes healthcare more accessible to those who need it most.

HHIB (The Homeless & Health Intervention Beds)

The HHIB service provides intermediate care to individuals with complex medical and social needs who would otherwise struggle to recover in traditional environments. Delivered in collaboration with partners across the city, HHIB offers a safe, supportive setting for people discharged from the hospital or at risk of admission.

Unlike single-site models, HHIB beds in Leeds are dispersed across multiple housing sites, allowing for greater flexibility and integration within local communities. Bevan provides ongoing GP input, working closely with housing providers and care teams to support recovery, improve stability, and reduce avoidable hospital stays.
